I’m sorry to hear about the trouble opening your file. As suggested by the expert, please try checking the earlier versions of your cloud document through the Creative Cloud web view and see if you’re able to restore a previous version. Also, could you please share a screenshot of the error message you see when trying to open the file? Additionally, please confirm if you see the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog when InDesign closes. What are your InDesign and operating system versions? You can recover an earlier version via your incremental backup system (which, hopefully, you are running). If your files are on a cloud service such as Dropbox or Google Drive, then they provide their own built-in backup system.
