I'm trying to get my InDesign tell my Acrobat to do something via bridge talk with javascript, but I do not see acrobat in my ESTK. I have Creative Suite CS5 and CS4 installed and Acrobat 9.3. I've tried with ESTK CS4 and CS5 but neither see acrobat... any ideas?

Check out this thread and this example. In short, you can't do this on Mac.

Thank you very much for your suggestion, and these are good examples of using bridge talk. However my problem is that I cannot communicate with my acrobat via bridge talk, period. All other adobe apps seem fine as I have checked with the "BridgeTalk.getSpecifier(appname)" method, all apps return the name and version of the app, except for acrobat which just comes up as "null". Any ideas how to get bridgetalk to see acrobat?

I don't think you can do something about this: it either works (on Windows, but not all versions) or doesn't (Mac).

Anyway, this is not, so to say, "officially supported feature" -- however it works for me in Windows XP SP3.
