Bug report? Searching for specific tracking values in ID 2020 and 2022

Our in-house typesetting rules stipulate a certain range of acceptable tracking values, e.g. from 1 to 15 and -1 to -15. In order to ensure that we don't veer outside of those ranges, we need to be able to search our files for specific tracking values. While searching for specific values within those ranges in ID 2022, we noticed that searches for tracking from 1 to 8 and -1 to -8 produced hits, but searches for 9 to -9 tracking and above (10 to 15 and -10 to -15) resulted in no hits despite paragraphs being tracked at those values.

While running a similar search in ID 2020, we found that we can find hits across our entire range, but the search doesn't reliably find every instance of paragraphs tracked. We haven't figured out why the search finds some hits but ignores others. We debunked our own theories about paragraph styles or varied tracking within a single paragraph being the culprits. We would appreciate any feedback on this issue.

Thank you,
M.W.

How do you "search" for those overrides?

In the Find/Change window, we've tried searching both Story and Document. Find Format: Basic Character Formats: Tracking (enter value). Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your reply.

If it's not working from Find&Change then only script will help - but it would be a bit slower way - to make sure all locations are found it would have to check all TextStyleRanges in all Stories.
