bug resizing indesign window

I have issue when i click on a specific zone of the down-right corner of InDesign window document (cf screen capture). 

It appears that any other edge of the window works fine (MacOs Finder management?), but when i click on the red area, the window immediately upscale about 10-15%. the click still pressed, the window is still resizing.

It has been a while, several versions ago (InDesign/MacOs, iMac i9 2020 or Mac Studio M1 Max) since i encounter this, but nothing fixed evec since.

—> Same issue with single screen Mac Studio M1 Max

—> Same issue on iMac 2020 Intel i9

—> No issue on MacBook Pro 14" M2 pro / same MacOS / Same InDesign.

 

Has anyone ever noticed this issue before ?

Ok i found something interesting on preference panel : "User interface scaling"

When it is on the first left point "small" = NO ISSUE

When it is bigger = ISSUE

It seems InDesign have internal conflict with its own interface (on MacOs, maybe not on Windows)
My previous setting with issue was on the 3rd point. Now i will let set on the first. Hope my eyes will follow the scale in duration…

Hi @Capvel Martain, 

 

Thanks for sharing the screenshot and recording. Could you let me know which version of InDesign you're using and the details of your macOS on your Mac machines?  

Please try testing the issue in Safe Mode and share the results. Also, do you have any desktop management applications like Magnet or Rectangle installed? If so, try disabling or uninstalling them and check if the issue persists.

MacOs Sequoia 15.3.1 (24D70) on 2022 Mac Studio M1 Max 32Go RAM, 150Go free capacity.

InDesign 20.1

Safe mode check : issue still here…

This issue is here from YEARS on previous MacOs and previous InDesign versions, Older Mac, 5K resolutions, 1440p resolution, single or double screen…

Have you noticed that the icon from the mouse is changing according to the position flown over ?

- When it is the icon from the Finder (every windows on the Mac) it works fine.

- when it is the other icon from InDesign, it glitches. Even half this time the double-arrowed icon does not appears.

 

TEST : 

quit InDesign > change resolution to 1600x900px > open indesign > NO ISSUE > change resolution 2560x1440px (as indesign running) > NO ISSUE > quit indesign > open indesign > ISSUE IS BACK!

All I know is that I've never experienced this behavior in InDesign. Is it possible you're using some kind of third-party window management utilities?
