Bug: Wrong size for clickable zone on some "Resolve" buttons in PDF Comments panel

In the PDF Comments panel, the top and bottom area of the "Resolve"-button does not trigger the Resolve action (for certain comment types). It triggers the button hover/click animations/states, but the button action is not performed.

This means that occasionally users click the button and nothing happens (surprisingly often in my case), so they have to click the button multiple times to get it to work. This can be frustrating and confusing as it isn't obvious why a click didn't register (when you saw the button click). I am not alone to have experienced this and thought the function was just laggy/buggy...

  • To recreate, import some PDF-comments of the type Delete or Insert Text. Click at the very top or bottom edge of the Resolve-button. The button state/color indicates a click, but nothing happens. Click then middle area of the button, and it works.
  • For comparison, the Resolve button for the Highlight comment type works correctly!

I have not tested all comment types, but it's easy enough, so I will leave it up to Adobe to just check all the "Resolve" buttons so they are the same. 😉

I'm not sure if this will help, but sometimes problems with panels is resolved by deleting/rebuilding cache files. You can explore that possibility with this guidance:

This is happening to multiple users, for a long time (years), on multiple computers so I doubt it's a cache issue.

It's just a slight misconfiguration of the size of the interactive zone of the button, and I am able to reproduce it 100% of the time.
