Bugs InDesign 2026

Bonjour,

Hi @Caudex,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details. Regarding the text blocks becoming blank while typing, this is a known issue and a bug has already been logged and is actively being worked on by the team. Ref: https://adobe.ly/3La841X

For the undo limitation where the undo stack seems to get cleared, this is also a known issue and is currently under investigation by the team. Ref: https://adobe.ly/3Nl4qCS

For the issue where InDesign closes when the system goes to sleep, I have not seen similar reports in the community yet. To help isolate this, please create a separate post focusing only on this behavior, so it does not overlap with other issues.

In the new post, kindly verify the following:
please confirm the specific InDesign 2026 version you are utilizing, such as whether it is 21.1 or another 21.x version, as well as the precise Windows version and if it is completely updated. Please also let me know if you see the Adobe Crash Reporter when the system wakes from sleep. If yes, submit the crash report and share the email address used via DM so I can check the logs. You can refer to this guide for submitting crash reports: https://adobe.ly/3NlbK1j

Regarding the lag when moving between pages, please start by manually resetting InDesign preferences using this guide: https://adobe.ly/3YvVMnG. Let me know if this happens with all files including newly created ones or only with specific documents, such as files with a large page count or size. Also confirm if you notice any difference after toggling off GPU performance in InDesign preferences, if that option is available and not greyed out. Finally, please confirm whether any third party plugins are installed. If they are, disable them and test again, or try launching Windows in Safe Mode to rule out plugin interference: https://adobe.ly/4jwL2iv

Please let me know your findings and updates.

Abhishek

Bonjour,

Hi @Caudex,

Thanks for the update. You do not need to change or upgrade your graphics card for this. GPU Performance depends on factors like the screen resolution and on a presence of supported graphics hardware, and you can find the full details here https://adobe.ly/4aUadcx.

For the issue where InDesign closes when the computer goes to sleep, could you please create a new post in the InDesign community focused only on that behavior with the requested details, so we can continue working on it there and track it properly toward a resolution.

Regarding the undo limitation, that is a known bug and the product team is actively working on it. I will keep you posted as soon as there is an update from the team.

Please let me know once you have created the new post for the sleep and crash issue.

Abhishek
