Bullets and numbering paragraph styles not working

When I'm trying to style my copy List Type in Bullets and Numbering under Paragraph Styles, I try to select either Bullets or Numbers. InDesign just defaults back to None. Restarting does nothing. I'm a professional on a deadline. What gives Adobe???

    Hi Mistercleen:

Are you trying to add bullets or numbers to an existing paragraph style in the Style options dialog box?

If you already have a style set up, you could cancel the dialog box and add the bullets from the Contril panel. Then right click over the style name in the Style panel >Redefine Style to update all of them.

Remember that when InDesign is just plain misbehaving, you want to trash preferences.

    Hi Barb,

Will try to trash preferences. It doesn't matter where I try to update the style from. Same problem everywhere. Need to keep going and come back to this later due to deadline. Appreciate the quick response!
