Hi @FZJJZF ,

there is no one-click solution to that.

If there are no threaded text frames from one spread to the next one you could copy/paste the contents of one A3 page to a spread of 2 A4 pages in a different document and repeat until you are done. If you use menu command Paste in Place your content should be in the right position in the target document. Enable the option Paste Remembers Layers in the Layers panel before you paste the first time. Note, that InDesign will not remember some layer properties from the source document; e.g. if a layer is set to not printing.

I assume that your A3 document is A3 landscape non-facing pages and the new document should be A4 portrait and facing-pages.

PS: To maintain text flow with threaded text frames from spread to spread move all A3 pages at the end of a new A4 portrait and facing-pages document. Then move, not copy/paste the contents from A3 pages to A4 spreads one by one.

@FZJJZF

If you're on Windows - you've two options:

1) I can give you access to the full version of my tool for a few days - for free, so you can convert your file yourself - I'll of course give you Tasks and tell you what to do - it's just a few clicks,

2) you can send me your file - just INDD file - please click my nickname so you can share it with me privately - but you'll have to upload your file somewhere first and send me a link, as private messages do not allow attachments.

If you're on Mac - then your only option is the second option.

One way would be to place the A3 pages onto new A4 spreads in a new file.

You can do both in File > Document setup but it looks like your one-page Master/Parent pages will remain as single pages.

You can also set up a new facing pages A4 file and rotate the spread view ninety degrees in the Pages Panel.
