Can I fix problem of Tools windows not staying on 2nd display, or is it bc I'm running Sonoma?
Hi there,
Just got a new MBP (that came with Sonoma 14.2), so I'm expecting a few issues. I just don't know if this particular problem is a Sonoma problem, or whether it's somehow fixable in Settings.
I use an external display when I'm working on my ID project, which is a book with lots of graphics, etc.—this second display is bigger and wider, which allows me to see my book in 2-page 'spreads', which is essential because some photos run right across both pages.
Anyway, I keep my main project window (+Application Frame) and all my Tools windows on this second display.
My problem is that when the MBP hasn't been used for a while (I guess it goes into Sleep mode), all my Tools windows on this external display end up getting moved onto my MBP display. It's something of a waste of time to have to move them all back, and carefully rearrange them.
I tired creating a second workspace ('Desktop 2') in Mission Control, but that doesn't seem to keep my ID windows on the external display.
Is there anything else that I can try? A keyboard command of some sort that will put all my InDesign windows back where I've told them I want them?
thanks very much,
Malcolm
