If you’re a Windows user, and you are interested in using dirty tricks not supported by Adobe, you can keep multiple different localizations installed by duplicating application folders and performing a few small edits to an XML configuration file. Check out this post describing how to set it up.

@DTPtutorialyCZ-L.Zalesky -- That script applies a language code to all styles. What @DominoDSGN is after is to change the language of his InDesign installation, i.e. the interface. That’s entirely different.

    Hi @DominoDSGN,

Thanks for reaching out. InDesign cannot run in multiple interface languages at the same time. It can only be installed and used in one language at a time.

To switch languages, you’ll need to change it from the Creative Cloud desktop app. Go to Preferences, then Language, and set the Default install language to your preferred option. Before changing the default language, please uninstall the currently installed version of InDesign, then reinstall it so the new language takes effect. You can refer to this guide: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/change-install-language.html

If you plan to use Arabic, make sure to select the English Arabic (Middle Eastern) option before reinstalling, as that enables proper Arabic support. Ref: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/access-install-hebrew-arabic-indesign-illustrator-CC.html

I understand this limitation can be inconvenient. If this is something important for your workflow, I’d encourage you to upvote and share your feedback here: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/31064731-the-ability-to-change-languages-of-the-software-it. This helps the team prioritize such requests.

Let me know if you need any help with the steps or run into any issues.

It is true that  you can only vie 1 UI language. But you can install other languages as well.

InDesign shows the UI language active, but you can install others like German, Hebrew, Arabic. Each is installing additional plugins or other files which you need with each language, It will expand the items in theUI. But InDesign will run in the selected language, Texts are using  the language you set up in Paragraph and Character Styles or manual settings.

    yes.

to do that, you would change the language in your cc desktop preferences (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/change-install-language.html) and then install the desired (apps). repeat for another language.
