OK, so we are a US Nonprofit that has used CS2 since 2000. We want to get into the new age and go with the cloud version. I have a few questions... Can we open the old files that were CS2 built from the cloud version?  If not, should I keep the CS2 going

I can't test this because I don't have any CS2 files floating around anymore but I found this thread that may help:

InDesign CC won't open a CS2 file

My suggestion is to download the CC trial and give it a shot. If it doesn't work, that thread is suggesting that you open the CS2 file in CS2, and save it as an .inx file, so if that works for you, be sure to keep CS2 installed until you are able to successfully move all of your files over to CC.

While there are always issues reported by people I have InDesign 1.0 files laying around that still open.

I suggest installing the trial and seeing for yourself.

Hi. You posted your question in the non-technical Lounge forum, which is where you can connect with your peers for conversations that don't directly relate to product help and support. I’ll move your question to the InDesign forum so that you can get the answer you are looking for.

Let us know what application you are asking about (for example, Photoshop, Premiere, Captivate), and we’ll move your question to the appropriate forum so that you can get the answer you are looking for.

Hi Patty: I saw that in your tag so I moved it over to the InDesign forum for you.

We are both suggesting that you download the trial and give it a try as your first step. There's a second step in my earlier response, and if that doesn't work either come back and let us know.
