Can I put hyperlinks in a separate layer?

I have numerous InDesign files with a lot of text, and hyperlinks interspersed throughout that text. Is there a way to put the hyperlinks on a separate layer so that when I export the file to an Adobe PDF, I can turn the hyperlinks on/off in the layers panel of the PDF?

Are your hyperlinks applied to specific text strings? If so, then you can't put text selections on a different layer (if I understand your question correctly).
