Can InDesign CC 2020 run on Mac OS Sonomera

I have some old plugins, that never will be upgraded, so I need to have the possibility running the old version of InDesign. It's running flawless on my M1 Mac with Ventura 13.5, but would like to have the new M3, that ships with Sonomera - but if that OS can't run the 2020 version, it's no good.

 

So, does anybody know the answer to my question?

    I needed to know, so I just installed Sonoma on an external harddrive and then installed InDesign 2020 - running, so I just ordered a new MBP with the M3 processor!

    Hi, I found this old thread and I'm very interested. I have a client I NEED to work with inDesign 2020. 
    But I need to upgrade my computer and wanted to purchase the next generation Mac Studio M4. 
    I imagine it will come out with Sonoma pre-installed. And I need to understand if I can still run Indesign 2020. 
    For me it is vital. Can you give me feedback? Thank you!

    Irrelevant. InDesign 2020 is no longer available. The only versions you can download and install are 2023 and 2024.

      My $0.02: At some point, you're going to have a huge issue with those plugins. Don't kick the can down the road; start looking for replacements now.

      Again, if I could, I would, but the plugin is not mainained and cannot be upgraded, but very much needed in my daily work 🙂

      InDesign currently isn't officially compatible with Sonoma yet. Many (but not all) users experience all kind of issues with InDesign on Sonoma. This refers to InDesign 2023 and 2024. I don't know if there are any issues with InDesign 2020 on Sonoma. I can only assure you in one thng: IF you encounter any issues running InDesign 2020 on Sonoma (or the new M3 for that matter), Adobe will not address them.

      For what it is worth, I'm running Sonoma 14.2 and InDesign 2023 and 2024 behave ok.
