Can't copy break symbol and paste into Beta version

I’ve been experimenting with the Beta version, and just found that I can’t copy a Column Break symbol from the release version and paste into the Beta version. I don’t know if other break symbols (or other symbols/markers) are affected.

Also, I had to enable what’s shown below to allow styles to remain present from the release version into the Beta:

 

Any thoughts?
