Question

Can't get a word up on the line above, even there is enough space

Hi.

I have a issue in Indesign with line breaks. I want to have the word "at" up on the first line (see first image "line break1") but I can't get it to do that, only if I make 3 spaces (see first image "line break2"). There is no Text Wrap or anything on it).
Can someone explain it to me?

This is most likely caused by the internal workings of the Adobe Paragraph Composer, which examines the entire paragraph when deciding where lines break, especially if you also enabled Balance Ragged Lines.

You can try using the Single Line Composer.

Hi Peter. Sorry the late replay. Thank you, that solved the issue.
