Can't import .docx or .xlsx using Place

InDesign isn't recognizing either of these file types as importable. Running InDesign 2026 on Windows 11 machine.

You may want to open them up in MSOffice and save them as Word 97-2004 Document (.doc) format and Excel 97-2004 Document (.xls) format, respectively.

You should lose no document formatting, and will now likely be able to place the files with no further issues.
