I have tried to reset preferences, and I can open another version of the file but opening the corrupted file shuts down InDesign. I tried opening a copy, saw the file for a second and then InDesign shutdown. is there a possible fix?

Vladan,

I was able to open the document and it is working...thank you. However, I have updated the creative cloud and reset my preferences and the keyboard shortcuts no longer work. Help?

I have opened your file with the script "BlindOpen_and_Export_to_idml".

Than save it as .indd and all is ok.

If it's just one document, divide it in half and see which half you're able to open and then divide the problematical half in half again and keep on dividing until (hopefully!) you isolate the issue, which may be a corrupt don't.

How do you divide it in half?
