Can't stop spreads from forming with each page, no masters showing

Hello. I've been having strange issues with Indesign, first it was forcing all prints to be on both sides of the page, now it's not letting me add pages without making them individiual spreads, even with turning off facing pages and turning off document/spread shuffle in page window. Been trying different combinations, trying to insert pages at the start of document and in the pages menu and pages window, same result. Mac OSx latest Indesign 2025
