Can't use the "Change All..." button on Mac to open all INDD documents in InDesign

I'm on Sonoma 14.4.1 and the latest InDesign and InDesign Beta.

Try as I might, I can't get all INDD docs to open in regular ID. It works to change them one at a time, but the "Change All" button in the Get Info window refuses to accept "Adobe InDesign 2024.app" as the default. I suppose I can reinstall InDesign or delete the beta but I was wondering if anyone had a less painful solution.
