Cannot change font size in interactive form fields

Ive set up some text fields but would like to make the font size smaller... no matter what size I specify, it seems stuck at around 12px or something.

On some of the wider text fields, the text will automatically decrease in size when too much text is added... whereas this doesn't happen on the more narrow fields.

Is there a more reliable way of specifying font size on these?

It sounds like you've set the font size of the field to "auto" in InDesign's Buttons and Forms panel. That makes it change size to fit the field in Acrobat.

If that is the case, change the size in Buttons and Forms to a specific value and it should stick...

Actually it is probably stuck at more like size 15–18px
