Cannot "collect" because of old plugins

I have plugins from InDesign 2018 (Sonar Bookends Index & InSequence) that prevent InDesign 2019 from collecting the book files for printing or making a new book.

I removed InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData from both the 2018 (ver 13) and 2019 (ver 14) locations, but the same problem persists. The plugins themselves are not in CC 2019 but I gather there is something in the file looking for them.

Is there some way to remove the plugins info from the files so I can open them in 2019 (ver 14) ? 2018 is still on the computer, but when I open it, it asks to convert the files to 2019 before I can do anything with them.

    Hi NIRC ,

you can export to IDML and save as document again.

That will remove "remnants" of the plugins from the documents.

If you want to do that for a batch of documents see into a script by Peter Kahrel:

Free script Batch convert/export InDesign documents | Peter Kahrel

    Thanks, this did the trick.

The link to the batch file, by the way, seems to be broken.

Strange. The link is working for me. Just tested with Firefox on Windows 10.
