Hiya! I cannot find a thread with the answer to my situation so here I am.
Adobe Specs: InDesign 2023 (v18.4) is up-to-date; Creative Cloud is up-to-date; Photoshop CS6 (v13.0 x64) is up-to-date.
My system is up-to-date, and its specs are:
Windows 10 Home
Version 22H2
OS build 19045.2965
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0
Processor Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Problem: I have 53 images in a CC Library. I am preparing a document in InDesign. I am able to drag and drop the images from the CC Library just fine. (This is how I inserted the images in the document.)However, I cannot edit them in InDesign nor from Creative Cloud by using the "Edit with" feature after I select Photoshop CS6 from the menu. I receive the following alerts. (also, see screenshot attached)
In the InDesign desktop app:
"Script Alert--To edit this item, please install Photoshop on your computer. If you were trying to place the item, you can do so by dragging it into an open document."
In the Creative Cloud desktop app > Files > Your libraries:
"To edit this item, please install Photoshop on your computer."
However, I do have Photoshop installed on my computer. Ironically, one of the images is a collage of photos created with Photoshop on the same computer.
In addition, if I insert the same photograph using the Place feature, I can edit the photo as expected with no issues.
Same problem occurs whether it is a jpg, png, or psd file.
Do you have any ideas on how to fix this or is a bug I need to report?
