Cannot find the booklet file I supposedly printed

It seems ID can paginate and print the 4-page newletter I designed to PDF, in spreads and with crop marks, according to the preview, but when I hit print, POOF! I cannot find the file. I've searched my machine for that file name and only the ID file, and the first non-paginated PDF I made, comes up.

Honestly, I would have just set that up as two landscape pages and been done with it.

That's what I've always done, Bob, but I've seen that booklet feature for eons, and it SEEMS TO ME it should work -- just output a repro quality PDF file. Another InDesign disappointment. Oh well.

    Sure, Print Booklet, checked the settings, and hit Print.

    I might've expected to be asked which PDF setting to use, and where to save the file. None of that happened. I did try to use the Print dialog to save a PDF but that wasn't allowed.
