Cannot launch InDesign CS3

Hello,

I had a HDD failure on my MacBook Pro and had to install a new drive and reload everything from a Time Machine backup. Everything seems to work correctly except for InDesign CS3, which I cannot launch. I can't find any answers elsewhere. Can anyone help?

Many thanks.

    Hello Bob,

Thank you for your advice, which set me on the right path. Initially, the installation of this version didn't work no matter what I tried, but Adobe technical support advised me to uninstall everything and then delete any residual Adobe folders within my Application and Library folders before reinstalling again. This did the trick, and I now have InDesign CS3 working again on this machine.

    Thanks again,

    Gordon.

This very old version of InDesign is unlikely to run successfully under recent versions of the Mac OS.

Thanks, but that's not the problem.

I am still running OS X 10.9.5. As I said, I reloaded from Time Machine exactly what was on the computer before the HDD fault, when InDesign worked as it should.
