Question

Cannot open recovered file

A few weeks ago, I accidentally moved an extremely important Indesign 2020 file to my mac's trash bin and emptied it. I realized it today and ran Disk Drill to recover the file. Based on my filters, I think I recovered the file I am looking for, but after recovering it from Disk Drill it has a different name. Now when I try to open the file, I get the message "Cannot open the file. Adobe InDesign may not support the file format ..." I really need this file, any suggestions?

Are you facing any problem in opening various file formats?

Open File Extension is there to help you in giving great guidance to open the same.  To get in touch with us and to find out how to open the bin file extension as well as other extensions visit here.

Hi glougheed,

are you doing backups with TimeMachine on an external harddisk?

Then see into your TimeMachine backups.

( Sorry. But I do know nothing about Disk Drill. )

You THINK you recovered it? What does that mean?
