cannot save drawing

In addition to the suggestions shared above, you can also try changing the location of the save and try saving locally in case you're saving on a network folder. Drawing is not something one typically does in InDesign. Are you sure you don't mean Illustrator?

We can't tell you much without knowing your version of InDesign and OS...

Are you able to export to .idml? If you can then do that so you have a saved version.

If you cannot export or save the file at all the only chance you have of preserving your work is InDesign's auto-recovery feature that kicks in when you restart after a crash. Force quitting InDesign (or pulling the plug on the computer after closing down everything else) should trigger it on next startup, but you'll want to see if you can find the problem before you restart. I would also be sure you make a backup copy of the InDesign Recovery folder in the caches section of your user profile (This folder may be hidden on PC, is definitely hidden on Mac) in case you need to run the CC cleaner tool and it removes your data.

How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?

Are you saving locally to your computer (as opposed to the Cloud)?

Have you tried resetting the InDesign preferences"?

Could you please be more precise ?

What do you mean by "drawings" and how do you save them ?
