Question

CC Libraries are changing my fonts

I am creating CC libraries. I am using Helvetica Regular when I create the asset, but when I pull the asset out from the CC Libraries panel, it changes my Times and Helvetica to a Helvetica (T1) and Times (T1) that I don't even have on my computer. Why is it not keeping the font that I created the asset with and how can I fix this issue?

I am working in macOS Monterey Version 12.3.1 - InDesign 17.2.   I am working on a brand new computer, setting up layout documents for the newspaper that I work at.

I am taking headlines/ text boxes and empty image boxes that are set to our publications standards and I have 1) dragged them to the CC libraries panel (both grouped and ungrouped) and 2) added them by hitting the +/add elements option.

I have attempted to make a brand new document vs. using an old document (we were previously working in InDesign CS3) and the same thing happens.

Please give us more information. It's always useful if you tell us: (1) Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. (2) Please tell us (exactly) what InDesign version you're using.

When you say you're creating assets for Creative Cloud libraries, what kind of assets? What steps did you take?

I'm a long-time Creative Cloud library user and I've never heard of fonts changing when dragging an asset back to InDesign.
