CC Libraries panel issues — non-functional, with giant thumbnails

My CC Libraries panel does a weird reset and stops working at least once a day. I can tell things have gone south when I see all of my CC Libraries thumbnail images appear enlarged. At this point, I'm unable to interact with the whole panel and must restart the app. This also happens in Adobe Illustrator (same panel).
