Or copy your cell into a RectangleTextFrame, create Rectangle and place beneath, fill with pattern, group, paste back in the cell.

 

There is always more than one way to skin the proverbial cat 😉

The easiest way would be to duplicate the table, put it in the back, remove all contents and place file with your fill pattern into specific cells.

Pattern fills are not a feature in InDesign. You examples are all from Illustrator which does very well with pattern fills.
