Centered image staying centered after link update

I have a frame set to center the content when I place an Illustrator drawing and auto-fit turned off because I want it to stay at 100%. My problem is that when I change the drawing and update the link, the drawing does not stay centered in the frame.

I could do this in InDesign CS6, but I might have used a script... can't remember. Any suggestions?

Of course, once you replace the contents you can right click and choose to center content, but that is an extra step and you probably already knew about that.

You can submit an enhancement request Feature Request/Bug Report Form

I think it would be a great enhancement.

Anchor the image in a text frame and make its position via object style where you can center it in the page via anchored frame options.

I hope I'm allowed to post this here, but I finally tracked down the script that does this. It solved an earlier issue, but works as I described above and still works with CC:

You might try asking in the InDesign Scripting forum.

You must have been using a script. The only options for fitting within a frame are listed in Frame Fitting Options dialog, and unfortunately, center content in frame is not one of the choices.

I was hoping "Align From" might be controlling that. Oh well, thanks.
