Certain Symbols do not appear in InDesign textbox

I have attached a screenshot with the symbols I need for my InDesign file. After I pasted the text, boxes with X's in them appeared in place of the characters, which I assume are empty text spaces. I've sorted through the Glyphs panel, but I do not see the symbols I seek. Any suggestions?

It means that the font you are using in the InDesign file does not contain these symbols. Choose another font.
