Changing the fill color of objects - doesn't work

Question

Help! I can't change the fill color from the color swatch in InDesign (Imac 2020 intel). I don't know what happened. I have reinstalled InDesign 20.01 and also 19.5.1.
It doesn't work with both.
Do you know what happened? Thanks a lot...

Could you try starting your Mac in Safe Mode and testing the issue? Here’s how you can do it: Start up your Mac in safe mode.
If the issue doesn’t persist in Safe Mode, it might be related to a third-party app. Specifically, try disabling or uninstalling the Magnet app (if installed) and then test the issue again.
