Check boxes not working for InDesign document published online

Hi, I have created check boxes in my document and after publishing the document online, the checkboxes do not work. Are interactive check boxes supported online or is it just if I export the document to an interactive pdf? Thanks for your help!

For a Publish Online Document, an interactive checkbox will not work.

But you can create a simulated checkbox with buttons, see this example
