Question

CJK Text adjust ideographic spaces in punctuation

I am currently working with the CJK Version of inDesign to set some Chinese text.

I set up a full justified paragraph style with hard kinsoku and simple Chinese mojikumi.

Now my problem is with punctuation at the end of a line. It still keeps the ideographic space embedded in the glyph creating a jagged text edge.

The same issue persists in quotation marks at the beginning of a line or following a comma/full stop.

To show what I mean I attached a screenshot of some placeholder text:

This is a completely new field for me and it's difficult to find any material on CJK typesetting in english 😕😕

Does anyone have a solution that doesn't involve fixing every instance of this manually?
