Question

Color changes after put in hex code

So I recently hard reset my laptop and opened indesign for the first time again today. I'm trying to work on something with a set hex code (101138) however the moment I press "ok" it changes to (1c1a36). It worked perfectly fine before the reset so I'm guessing my settings changed, however I don't know which one.

i've tried a couple of things but can't seem to fix the problem. Hope someone can help me out!

If you had any custom color settings to match up with your own or your vendor(s) production systems, there's a remote chance those may be gone, or merely misplaced/reset to defaults. You can check by going to the Edit>Color Settings... menu command and seeing if any custom settings you may have loaded into InDesign are still there.

Hope this helps, and the fix is this easy for you,

Hi @V0D_ , What dialog are you creating the color with—Color Picker, Color Panel, or Swatches? If it’s the Color Picker, make sure your cursor is in one of the R,G,B fields, and not one of the CMYK fields. The radio buttons determine the Space View, while the selected edit field determines the color mode choice:
