Column numbering as page numbers

Hello. I want to use an A4 page to print in two columns to make a songbook. I can uuse masterpage to make a pagenumber, bt I want tto number first and second and third and forth aso. columns, because the final produckt must bee A5.

I have made an A5 page first but when I printed, I could only print on half an A4 paper. I want both A5 pages on one A4 paper.

I hope this is clearly explained.
