Command + drag no longer working to resize

I've been using Command + drag to resize files placed on my InDesign pages for years, and suddenly, for no reason, I can no longer do that. Holding Command and dragging the mouse only resizes the frame, not the content inside the frame with it. I'm now having to go back to clicking between the Selection tool and Direct Selection tool to resize things accordingly. Why did this feature suddenly stop working? I've restarted InDesign twice, tried holding Command+Option+Shift+Control when relaunching it, and tried to change settings but nothing has worked. I haven't changed anything. No updates to the computer or the program, so there's no reason this should just suddenly stop being functional.

Hello @Holton Recorder,

That does seem strange. Would you mind trying to run InDesign after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and  under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Aha! That seemed to fix it! I restarted the entire computer and opened up just InDesign first. I then opened up everything else that I tend to have open at the same time, and so far so good. I never thought I'd have to restart the entire computer to fix a glitch in one program, but at least it worked LOL. Thank you!

EDIT: I did see another similar post in these forums of others having the same issue, and it was occurring because Microsoft programs were open. I have them open as well, but I don't have Tahoe. I'm using Monterey, and I've changed nothing whatsoever, so it's odd that it would just start happening.
