Constantly having to clear paragraph style overrides

I'm so tired of of constantly having to clear paragraph styles. I'll clear them but then when I export the file, the same spots are highlighted again as overridden.

When I highlight the offending text, it doesn't even flag (+) it as having an override. I have to select an entirely different paragraph style and reapply the correct one to clear it. Only to have it reappear once I export the file.
