I have an .svg file that is exactly 1". When I do file > place (frame fitting options set to 0") it leaves .0278 gap all around the image. How do I remove the gap so the content frame fits exactly?

To start with, SVG can be a real pain the ASCII. You might experiment with the import settings to see if one or the other does a better job.

You might also consider converting it to a more standard and manageable format, like AI or PDF. Illustrator should be able to handle that.

If you have checked the frame fitting and other Ctrl-B settings and are fairly sure none are causing a border or spacing, I'd bet this is a border or margin or the like in the SVG itself; you may have to work around by zooming the image slightly or applying an inner stroke of the fill color to hide it.

Hi @Lindsay23869746qsry ,

if you have this vector artwork available in Adobe Illustrator make sure when you save to SVG that one option is NOT checked: [ ] Responsive. That should create no gaps at all. Note that option "Responsive" is turned on by default with Illustrator.
