Hi Sujatha, thank you  for your welcome.

I am having trouble with inDesign. I had a document opened.  I have been working on it for a year.  It is 469 pages.  All the content (text, images, charts, etc were filled in. When I went to look for a file in Bridge and came back to the inDesign document, everything on the pages had disappeared.  The master pages were also empty.  I have never experienced this before.

And now I cannot open my Adobe Acrobat DC app.

I checked for visrues and everything checked out okay.  I copied the file to a t humb drive and opened it on my laptop.  It did not work on the laptop.

I am now ready to jump off a cliff.  You could help prevent that if you could give me some helpful advice.

thank you.

Linda

Hi Linda,

We are extremely sorry to hear about your difficulties. As per your query, content on your file got disappeared when you opened bridge and came back to the InDesign document. That's definitely not a typical experience with InDesign. Let us make this right for you. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

  • OS and version of InDesign/Bridge
  • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the creative cloud and share the download link.
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

As you are facing issues with multiple applications, you can also take help from our one-to-one support. Please head here (https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html) and select the chat button in the lower-right corner of the page. We can troubleshoot faster that way. We’re here to help.

Regards,

Srishti

It sounds like you will need to open one of your back-up files, and pick up from there.
