Convert Paragraph Style to Footnote

Is it possible to convert a paragraph style to a footnote.

The book has some stories. After each story there is a paragraph mentioning the source of the story.

I would like to convert those to footnotes.

Hi @Summayah5FC7:

Frans is right on both accounts. I went ahead and added the scripting tag to your post to alert the scripters, and found two similar questions on the forum. Depending on your comfort level with scripting, perhaps you can repurpose one of these. Otherwise, hang tight and hopefully someone who can help will show up.

Thank you for your replies.

I don't have the knowhow yet to repurpose the script.

Some good old cut/paste could work: select the text, cut, insert footnote, paste into footnote.

But I guess you want some automation on this? That, maybe, can be scripted...
