Question

Convert PDF to InDesign... blocked?

Hello,

I'm having some issues using this new feature, when I try to open a PDF, I'm greeted with the below message.

I believe my company is blocking the Adobe server, anyone knows which URL Indesign is using? I can ask IT to whitelist that.

Thanks

Hi @FabX,

I hope Derek's suggestion helped. If you are still seeing the no internet connection error, it might be that your company firewall or proxy is blocking access to Adobe's servers. Could you confirm if this is the case or if your machine itself has no internet access? If it is a network restriction, please share the list of Adobe network endpoints with your IT team, so they can whitelist the required URLs for the PDF to InDesign conversion to work.

You can find the list here: https://adobe.ly/4mzCpE0.

Best,

Abhishek

It's my company's policy to block unknown GenAi URLs.

The place command doesnt convert PDF to Indesign, but just place the document as is; I'm looking to use the conversion from PDF to an editable .indd

Do you know which server Indesign uses?

Have you tried (into an open InDesign page) File > Place?
