converting lines into one selection

Hallo! I'm drawing multiple lines in indesign with the line tool. The lines connect words in an article. I would like to convert the various lines into 1 selection, so that whenever I decide to move the textbox, I don't have to move all the separate lines...

Maybe you can use Paragraph Rules instead of lines?

You could experiment with conditional text. Conditional text can draw a line under, it also prints.

It may depend on what do you mean by "lines connect words". In addition to Bob's suggestion: if anchoring seems too complicated to You by chance, maybe simple grouping is just enough? Sure, if your text frame is not threaded.

Or lines as inline graphic, or tabs with leader instead of lines? It all depends on actual layout.

Any screenshot would be very helpful.

Hi! Thanx for your reply. Forget about the text: all I want is to make two (or more) separate drawn lines into one selection, so I can move them in one time....
