Copy/paste into story editor causing crash

Every time I paste directly into a story editor window, InDesign program crashes. This happens regardless of whether I'm copying in text content from an outside source (unformatted text), or if I'm copying from another InDesign document (using Paste without Formatting). I've been having this problem for awhile, must have happened now while working in a dozen different documents. This is having a lot of impact on my working efficiently as I have for many years used the story editor tool frequently to collect and edit text within frames.

Running InDesign 19.1 on a macOS 14.2.1 -- both system and software are set update to latest versions automatically.

Anyone else having this problem?

I'm wondering if this is fixed in InDesign 2024 19.2? In the list of fixes in 19.2 it mentioned problems pasting text into the Review panel.

19.2 hasn't been released yet in the United States.

It may indeed be an InDesign bug! I just tested copying from an InDesign file into the Story Editor (pasting with Unformatted Text) and it crashed. This happened to me with InDesign 2024 (19.1) and Sonoma 14.3.

However, pasting a Text file from TextEdit on the same file worked successfully.
