Hope somebody can help me with this.

I am trying to copy a number (in this case, 3) of threaded text boxes from one ID document to another, while maintaining the threads.

Is there a simple way to do this? I cant find a way to do it easily.

Please help before I hit the bottle!!

Cheers.....Scotty

Are the three frames on the same spread or different spreads? If they are on different spreads, you might

    • drag them to the paste board of the same spread
    • copy and paste with the selection tool to the new document
    • return to the first document and undo

That said, if they are on a different spreads, gather them on the same one

…or, sometimes it may be simpler to use Move Pages command, and then remove everything not needed (if any) from those copies. Especially if exact position is a key. If not, not sure if it worth to bother with all of this at all. Sometimes it's just faster to copy text and recreate the frames from scratch. Hard to tell without knowing actual layout, and how many times you need to repeat this.

Just select all three frames with Selection Tool (black arrow) and copy / paste... They will remain threaded.

Sorry, I should have said that they are on different pages, hence my problem.

The suggestions that you and Jane-e have put forward are both very helpful and have solved my problem.

Thanks so much for taking the time to assist.
