Question

Copying object style or maybe it is custom pasting into a frame

Hi everyone

I hope someone can help me cos this is driving me nuts.

I wanted to paste the same sized object in the same position wihin a frame.  Is there a simple way to do this?

I have about 90 pages with 2 frames per page so 180 frames that i need to populate (paste into) with PDF pages.  The PDF pages size is A4 and the frame that I want to paste into is about 190mmW w x 220mmH

Id like to paste a page per frame where the pasted item (object?) is 185mmW x 261mmH with the x and y being X 85 and Y -20.

To date, I just do a big paste and manually position 90 objects (hence going nuts). I have tried to copy an object style and fiddled with the settings but am make a meal of it.

  1. Create an image frame on the master/parent page.
  2. Create an object style. Size and position are there defined and auto-fit is deactive (frame fitting options). But do not apply the style yet.
  3. Place (not paste) the image into the frame on the pages.
  4. Aüüöy the object style from step 2

Thanks for relying, Will. It is very kind of you

Ok. I get creating a frame in the master page but I am unsure what attributes and where I enter the information in object styles

And if I am reading correctly, the object style gets applied to the placed image.  Is that correct?
