"Could not complete your request because of a database error"

Has anyone else seen this? I cannot open my file despite the restarts, testing on another computer, copying file off of the server.

    Hi aileens,

    As per your query, you are getting this error while you are opening the the files?

    I would request you to please share some more details like:

    Operating System(exact Version of Windows or MAC)

    Version of InDesign

    Where the files are saved or being opened? System folder or external drive or from some network drive?

    If they are saved on some network drive like Dropbox or some office network, please copy the file on desktop along with the links and check how it works?

    Sorry for the lack of details, I was posting madly while also trying to recreate the file.

    Yes, the error occurs when trying to open the file from either network or desktop.
    Operating system: Windows 10, 64-bit

    Adobe Creative Suite : the latest version

    I originally tried to open on our office network server and received the error. Then tried to copy to desktop, same error. Had a colleague try and she also received the same error.

    Hi aileens,

    Please try to reset preferences and then open file again from desktop.

    • Close all Adobe applications.
    • Go to Locations C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe and C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Adobe.
    • Delete InDesign folders.
    • Launch InDesign from CC.
