Create batch of new documents

Hi all,
Is it possible to have a script that creates several new Indesign documents based on the information from a .txt or .csv file?

As a blueprint? Because it just creates empty files?

Yes, it's entirely possible — depending on what and how complex the criteria for the InDesign documents are and how the file defining them is structured.

Are you working on a PC or a Mac and what versions of InDesign and your OS are you using?

Can you give a bit more detail of the format of the documents? And does several mean half a dozen once a month or a hundred a day!
