Create Guides not working in InDesign (web set-up)

Running into an interesting issue: Create Guides isn't working. I'm trying to create a 3-column grid layout for a web document (1920 x 1080), but the Create Guides feature doesn't show anything when I try altering the settings.

I have checked all my view settings to make sure guides are visible... all good.

Is it because I'm working in a web setting? I tried creating a new print document and the Create Guides command worked there. Odd that it wouldn't work across the board no matter color space or file specs I'm using.

Any suggestions?

Just had the same issue and solved it. Just zoom in to the document and zoom out and the guides will apear 🙂

Assuming you are Showing Guides and are in Normal Screen Mode, check your Grids and Guides & Pasteboard Preferences and make sure you have Guides in Back unchecked.

No, the web setting doesn't make a difference.

If the guides are hidden, InDesign will offer to show them for you when you choose Layout > Create Guides. That isn't the issue?

If not, try a new document (and print intent). If it still isn't working, I'd recommend rebuilding cache and preferences. See https://www.rockymountaintraining.com/adobe-indesign-rebuilding-preferences-cache/.
