create indesign files based on dita xml

Question

I am trying to figure out how we can create indesign files based on DITA xml files. I have looked at several options where one uses a dita plugin or indesigns own xml capabilities, but the plugin from DITA seems pretty outdated and I am uncertain as to whether InDesigns xml is capable of working with DITA xml

I believe I am looking for some inspiration as to how one could make this kind of "conversion" work?

Hi Bjørn, Glad to see you over here! I am looking for the same type of thing: a way to go from DITA to InDesign. I have done some basic XML to InDesign using Em Software's XTags plugin. It has worked pretty well for simple XML. I will use Saxon to convert the XML to XTags via XSLT and then import the tagged file into my InDesign template. This allows me to do the XSLT and tagging work, while my client does the InDesign template work.
